Exciting announcement! BWS Summer Camp is back! We will be welcoming children from three years old through rising 6th grade to Claver Castle June through July. Anyone can register; you do not need to be an enrolled BWS family to participate.
Since everyone’s schedule is a bit different and flexibility is a priority during the warmest months of the year, families can sign up in one week increments rather than committing to the entire summer.
Led by teachers in our school community, summer camp days will be imbued with the familiar rhythm of the school day with special times for seasonal handwork, storytelling, outdoor adventure, acknowledging seasonal festivals and holidays such as Juneteenth and the summer solstice, and plenty of time for play as campers explore the season together.
Early Childhood Summer Camp
The Early Childhood portion of camp is open to children ages 3 through rising 1st grade, beginning June 20th and ending July 28th. The day is from 9am to 3pm, with Extended Day offered at an additional cost. It is important to note that children must be able to use the bathroom independently in order to enroll.
Children will spend days in neighborhood playgrounds and embark on other walking adventures. We’ll be playing in outdoor sprinklers and splash pads! Appropriate clothing for these activities is required, and a complete packing list is shared with families before the start of camp. Snacks, lunch, and rest are built into the daily rhythm as well.
Grades Summer Camp
If you have an older child (entering 2nd grade through rising 6th grade), our Grades Summer Camp is a perfect fit! Camp runs from June 20th through June 30th, 9am to 3pm, with Extended Day offered at an additional cost. Children are split into groups for main activities which involve Crafts and Movement. Otherwise, campers are together during meals and unstructured time.
